L’Oreal vs Neutrogena on Facebook

Both of these brands have a good presence on Facebook with L’Oreal having 22,634,661 likes and Neutrogena having 4,175,034 likes. L’Oreal is more active on Facebook as they update once or twice every week on the other hand Neutrogena does updates once every 2 weeks. Both of the brands provide content like promoting their products, contests, images, videos and discounts.
Both of the brands use keywords like shampoo, conditioner, and damaged hair on their posts. Recently L’Oreal hosted a contest in which users had to make Oscar predictions and they had the chance to win $250 in products. This post of L’Oreal got 1700 likes on Facebook with 20 comments and 43 shares. This post was successful because users had a chance to interact by making the predictions which ended up getting more comments and likes. They use 50/50 rule as they were talking about Oscars as well as promoting their brands.

Neutrogena posted a picture in which a famous actress was in it with a tag line of “A day without laughter is a day wasted”. This picture of Neutrogena got 2900 likes and had 16 comments. This post was shared 188 times. I think this post was liked so many times because of the actress as she was the face of Neutrogena.
